Stephanie, Scott and Mallory were “on call” and guests at the Thanksgiving “on call” dinner party at my house. I was feeling a little melancholy as my family is 1600 miles away and I had an overwhelming desire to cook and completely exhaust myself. We had no need for a turkey, however, the sloppy joes and pie seemed to hit the spot. Thanks for coming over guys!

Mallory is a young, smart, and sympathetic girl as evidenced by the fish she purchased. Apparently he was the only one of his kind in a tank of hungry, cruel and greedy creatures. Mallory’s heart melted as he gazed upon her through the glass with unmatched, crossed, bugged (hypothyroid?) eyes. The view from behind this unique species reveals somewhat leg-like extensions as though he somehow missed a step during the evolutionary process millions of years ago. Welcome to the world little fish, and to Mallory’s heart…

Woe! This picture does no justice to the serenity and beauty of this snowfall. I am however, cautious of the enjoyment as I am told when this accumulates to over 200 inches, I will be whining.

From my front yard I could throw a rock and hit the “bunny hill”. That baby’s got my name written all over it!

This is the road that goes to my driveway. It doesn’t look like much but it actually lends itself to a horseshoe driveway so I can choose which way I want to enter!

A view from the loft off of the kitchen. The series of pictures consists of several views from the loft in order to catch the beauty of the logs.
